Sarah Palin

There is no single position in the world that one individual can hold that is of more importance than that of President of the United States. The responsibility should at no times be taken lightly. I expect the person who fills this position to hold it with as much serious consideration as possible. It is not something one trifles with.

In nominating Sarah Palin as his running mate John McCain has shown total disregard for the importance of the office of the President of the United States. And in doing so has made it clear that regardless of his opposition he is not a man that we want to lead this country.

The Republican party has opted to do what they perceive to increase their odds of winning, over what is best for this country. Winning the job has become more important than doing the job and that, above all else, is what makes me dislike the Republican party right now.

Most of my differences with the Republican party are ideological, but the power held by the President is the one thing that we should all be able to understand. Being President should be about sacrificing oneself, about doing ones duty for this country.

Someone like Sarah Palin should not be as close to being President as she is. She should not be as close to Vice President as she is. As Vice President she would be abysmal. She lacks the understanding and the desire to understand necessary to fulfill a position like that. As President she would be a failure and we as citizens should make mockery of the nomination of Sarah Palin. In my opinion the Republicans should receive zero votes in this election.

Perhaps they truly think that winning with Sarah Palin will result in a better country than losing to Obama. Perhaps, but I don’t think its an argument they should be able to convince anyone of and arguing it only convinces me that they could be more delusional than I already thought.

If you don’t like the democrats either, then vote for an independent that you do like. If you don’t like anyone and you can, vote for none of the above. The Republicans have shown that they don’t respect this country and they don’t respect its citizens, us. They don’t deserve a vote.

  1. I will be sure to contribute to those zero votes that they deserve. It really amazes me that even at this point in the race, some people don’t get it. People say “I think she’s cute” or “She’s just like an ordinary person.” Well guess what, I know plenty off ordinary people who I wouldn’t want running the country. The election process shouldn’t be a beauty pageant, and that’s what McCain turned this into. Other people don’t realize that a vote for a 72 year old McCain is essentially a vote to make Sarah Palin the President. Granted, this is not based on any medical fact, but look at what that office did to both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush in 8 years. They each looked 20 years older at the end. McCain’s doctors may give him a clean bill of health, but I don’t think he could survive.

My research shows about 15% chance he dies, just for being old, not including the stress of being president before the end of his first term. If he gets elected to a second, the chances shoot up to 33%.

She is horribly unqualified for the position of Vice President. It is dangerous for her to be that close to the presidency as well. Especially with the kind of hateful followers that have come to support her.

If Superman read that, he’d be pissed.

It amazes me that anyone is even considering voting for McCain after he chose her to run as VP. It is absolutely appalling to hear the “she’s just like me” line. I’m a fairly intelligent person, but I’m certainly not qualified to run this country and neither is anyone else who is “just like me” (and I’m not implying that I identify with Sarah Palin WHATSOEVER). The thought of her coming anywhere near the White House is downright terrifying.

  5. Wow, Hella Blog is hella awesome.

I agree that Sarah Palin makes a mockery of the position and anyone who thinks she would make a good VP reduces the position to a “carefully managed” talking head on TV. I guess they like looking at her.

don’t get me wrong, I think Sarah Palin is a retard and 4chan has some rad images that’ll illustrate that. but supposedly she’s a successful governour (granted it was alaska).

But really, we’ve hired a dumb sounding govenour before, and looked what happened.

  7. It truly is appalling to me that people say she is a good candidate. Have they seen this woman speak or read anything about her? Dan and Josh you are absolutely right, John McCain is old and decrepit. He looks like death already! There is no way that Sarah Palin would keep this country alive & well. DO NOT VOTE for McCain/Palin under any circumstance. Can you give me one good reason to?

  8. Josh Wittner Says:

I never called him decrepit and I don’t think he’s senile or crazy, but he is willing to put this country at great risk to be president and for that we should not vote for him.

  9. Q. What’s the difference between Sarah Palin’s mouth and her vagina?

    A. Only some of the stuff that comes out of her vagina is retarded.

  10. Josh Wittner Says:

    Holy Jesus Ben.
